• Hello! I have been a teacher in the USA for more than 20 yeas. I graduated from NIU (Northen Illinois University) with a Masters in Education. I have been teachinf kindergarten for the past 12 years. I have 3 children of my own. My hobbies are: helping people, traveling, spending time with my children, specially my daughter Mia and my son mishka, who play volley ball, soccer and tennis. I have been at the Camp since 2010. Looking forward to meeting you all again!

• Hi, I am Mary Kaltenbach and am very excited to return to the camp in beautiful Sevilla! I am from Chicago, Illinois, and work for a large school district where I am a social worker serving children and their families from ages 3 to 21! • Hello! Soy Javi, estoy graduado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas. Llevo desde el 2016 participando en el campamento, ya que una de mis pasiones es la docencia, de hecho imparto Estudio Asistido en el Colegio San Alberto Magno y actualmente cuento con el título B2 de inglés. En estos años he podido comprobar como el campamento es una magnífica opción para que los niños, a través de los juegos que se realizan y la clases que se imparten, mejoren y lleguen a dominar el uso inglés. • Hi there! I’m Barbara and I have been working as an English teacher for many years, teaching from babies to adults. I used to work for the summer camp as a teacher, but last year I took on the role of camp coordinator and I absolutely loved it! I enjoy the interaction with the kids, their parents and the teachers. I am the very proud mum of 6-year old triplets, Oli, Milos and Noa, who you’ll see running around the Tomares camp too! We’re looking forward to seeing you all again and welcome new faces to our fantastic summer camp! !

• Hi!! I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting in English, Chinese, and Spanish. From early on, I knew that my dream was to become a teacher, so I later completed a Master’s degree in Language Education. I have lived in Ireland and Taiwan, and traveled around the world while connecting with different cultures and their customs has truly been a dream come true. I believe learning should be fun, inspiring, and full of discovery, especially when it comes to exploring the wonders of a new language!

• My name is Paul Turner-Kerr, and I am French, Scottish, and Canadian. I live here in Seville, but I have been lucky enough to grow up in several different countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, and now Spain. Living in different places has helped me become open-minded, adaptable, and enjoy meeting people from different cultures. I am excited to join Kokopeli as a helper this summer. I come from a big family, so I have always been around children and enjoy spending time with them. I am responsible, enthusiastic, and always happy to lend a hand wherever I am needed. • I am Susan LaGrippe, from Chicago, I have spent seven summers teaching English in Sevilla, which is the only other place in the world I feel at home. I am looking forward to another fun summer. At home I teach year six students science. I love traveling and learning about different cultures and then sharing what I have learned with my students. Learning English will make this type of travel experience easier for your child as it’s the most spoken second language in the world.

• My name is Christine Quinlan, and I am a teacher from the United States. I have been volunteering in Sevilla for the past ten years, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every year, I look forward to returning and spending time at the camp with the amazing kids. Their energy, enthusiasm, and growth make every moment special. I am absolutely thrilled to be back again this year and grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, create new memories, and be part of such a wonderful community. • Hello! My name is Eva and I am so excited to be returning to Kokopeli Summer camp for my second year as an English teacher. I teach elementary music and band here in the United States and absolutely love my job. I play over 6 instruments and am excited to use my knowledge of music to help your student learn more English. • Hola amigos! I am Kiyo and come from Chicago, where I have been a teacher for almost 30 years. I have graduated from DePaul University. I love to travel and learn from different cultures. I have been coming to Seville to teach at the camp for many years, but still am very excited about the camp and can’t wait to meet you!

• Buenas! I used to be a home room teacher to wonderful 4th graders for 7 years in the Chicago suburbs, but I currently teach computer literacy and STEM. I graduated from Illinois State University and have my masters in education leadership. I am a mother of four children, 2 adults and 2 minors. I love spending time in nature, helping others, traveling and learning about other cultures, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. • My name is Bonnie and I am from Madison, Wisconsin. I have been teaching students ages 9-11 in the United States for over 24 years. I have two boys, ages 4 & 7. We love to have adventures and new experiences. I am very excited to come back and join camp again after many years.

I have a strong passion for working with children and helping them grow both academically and emotionally. • Hi, my name is Hayden and I am so excited to join the Kokopeli team this summer. I have been teaching (Kindergarten & 1st grade) in New York City for over 6 years. I have a Master’s degree in Reading Education. I love summer camps and have been working at camps in the US for over 12 years. I love music, art, and storytelling. I think children learn so much when they are given the opportunity to play. I can’t wait to have an amazing summer with all of you! • Hei! I’m Bea and was born in the Philippines, where summers meant loud family gatherings, impromptu sports matches, and staying outside until the sun went down. My passion for helping young learners grow through English has only deepened over the years. • Hello! My name is Julia and I am so excited to be returning to Kokopeli Summer Camp for my third term! I have been teaching English for over 7 years, working with all ages from energetic 3-year-olds to adults. Along with my Master’s degree in Education, I am a huge theatre enthusiast. I love bringing drama-based games and storytelling into the classroom to make learning English completely immersive, dynamic, and—most importantly—fun! I can’t wait to see some familiar faces and welcome new campers for another unforgettable summer of play and learning!

• With 19 years of teaching experience, 15 of them in Arizona, Katie brings both passion and creativity to her work. She loves to travel and eagerly awaits her trips back to Spain each summer. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys making crafts, singing, and connecting with our Kokopelli students while helping them practice their English.

• Hello! My name is Kylie Borck, and I am very excited to be joining camp for the first time! I am from Chicago, Illinois, where I teach high school math and coach both boys and girls volleyball. I have experience working with children ages 5–18 as a teacher, coach, and camp counselor. • Hello! My name is Leslie and I cannot wait to join the Kokopeli team this summer. I am from Madison, Wisconsin where I teach second grade. I love teaching and I love kids and teachers and families and summer time. I have two kids ages 11 & 13 and a small dog named Buddy. Our family loves to explore and adventure together. This is going to be so much fun and we will learn so much together!

• Hello! My name is Linnea. I am from Little Rock, Arkansas but have been living and teaching in Spain for the past 6 years. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me baking sweet treats, cycling, or engaging in the many cultural activities that Sevilla has to offer. I am so excited to be returning to Kokopeli for my second year and can’t wait for another unforgettable summer!

• Hi! I’m Mackenzie and I’m so excited to be joining the Kokopeli team this summer. I currently live in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina and work as a high school Spanish teacher. In my free time I like to read, run, and travel and you can always catch me trying out new restaurants with friends. I spent time last year teaching English in Huelva, Spain and I am extremely grateful and excited to be returning to such a beautiful country. I can’t wait to meet your students and get to know them throughout our time together.

• Hello, my name is MARIA Edwviges Gutierrez, I have 25 years of experience as a 2 way dual language classroom teacher. I am very excited to participate in the summer camp Kokopeli. I love little ones, and I am eager to get to know each one. My favorite thing about this summer camp is that we have the opportunity to play as we learn with the little ones. I am a teacher in United States. My education is in education I have a masters in education from Aurora University, in curriculum and instruction. I live in Illinois USA. My hobbies Are reading, traveling and visiting my family in Mexico. I’m so excited to start this summer camp.

I’m Marie, originally from the Philippines, with a Master’s in Teaching from the Universidad de Alcalá, I’ve always loved working with students and finding ways to make learning feel natural and enjoyable. I’m a big fan of games, creative activities, and anything that gets people involved and having fun while learning without even realising it. • Hi! My name is Meredith Lane, and this will be my first year with Kokopeli Summer Camp. I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts, where I received degrees in Early Childhood Education and Teaching English as a Second Language. I’ve worked with children of all ages and am excited to create a fun, engaging experience with the kids this year! Besides that, I like to spend my summers at the beach, with friends, and reading. • Michelle is a qualified Kids Yoga and English Language teacher with experience since 2006 supporting and improving learning experiences for young learners. She is passionate about creating dynamic, safe, and fun classes where children feel confident, engaged, and encouraged to grow. Michelle loves helping children learn through creativity, movement, and positive energy — and she also loves baking cookies!

• Hello! My name is Maureen a.k.a. Moe and I have been a school psychologist in the U.S.A. for the past 11-years. I have an educational specialist degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio. In addition to being a school psychologist, I have coached cross country for an all girls high school for the past 10-years. I like to think of myself as a fun-loving adventurer. I have a thirst for experience and a curiosity for travel. I am looking forward to working with kids in this capacity and to have a blast while doing it. I cannot wait to meet you all!!
